Initial Consultation

The initial consultation lasts approximately one (fifty-minute) clinical hour.  My fee for the initial consultation is $90.00. This is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to observe my counseling style.  This also allows time for you to fill out any necessary paperwork.  This consultation includes time for me to learn about your background, goals, expectations and to see if we are a good fit for each other before beginning the counseling process.

 

Fees 

My fee for a fifty-minute individual or family counseling session is $90.00. (A typical therapy session is based on a fifty-minute clinical hour rather than a sixty-minute clock hour.) My fee for a sixty-minute group session is $40.00 per participant per session and each of the groups that I run are six weeks in length.  Please click on my blog page for a current list of the groups that I offer through Pikes Peak Counseling. Full payment is due at the time of service. I am willing to consider a sliding scale fee depending on the circumstance and will only accept a certain amount of sliding scale clients at one time.

 

Payment  

I accept cash, checks, Visa and Mastercard. I do not accept insurance or work with any insurance companies directly. Upon request, I can give you a receipt for services to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement if the insurance company reimburses for mental health services.

 

Cancellations and No-Shows 

Please call or e-mail me a minimum of 24 hours in advance if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment in order to avoid being charged for a missed session.
